But Nebraska’s offensive coordinator repeated a couple times on Tuesday that it’s fun process right now with a group of coaches and players who care to try to fit the pieces you have together. It might stink if you didn’t like the dudes, but he really likes these dudes.
He also understands it’s not necessarily always been easy on the eyes, as this Nebraska offense finds best how it can operate to its personnel, while also complementing what many consider the strength of the team right now – the defense.
«I get it. It’s painful at times for coaches to watch because we put a lot of time into this and we have a picture of how we want it to look and it doesn’t always look that way,» said Satterfield, continuing, «There’s ups. There’s downs. But it’s fun each week to come and try to utilize what we have…»
He also believes it’s possible the Huskers may look back at the bye week and this moment in the season as a «turning point» for some young Husker receivers, like Malachi Coleman and Jaylen Lloyd.
What about those young skilled guys and recruits at those positions also watching how this offense is taking shape? It’s of course an important question with some Husker recruits other programs continue to pursue.
