Three-star defensive back Larry Tarver Jr., is the next official visitor the Huskers will be bringing to campus, as the Maryland commit confined to Husker247 that he plans to be in Lincoln on Saturday as the Huskers take on Purdue.
Tarver confirmed the official visit and said he’s most excited to check out the facilities that he’s heard a lot about already. The Norland High product committed to the Terps in June after taking visits to both Maryland and Texas A&M that month.
Tarver, like seemingly every Nebraska target, is a track athlete, participating in both the 100-meter and the 200-meter. As a junior Tarver played for TRU Prep Academy, where he earned second-team all-county from the Miami Harold. Tarver transferred to Norland after the strong season.
The Huskers have several cornerbacks committed already — Mario Buford, Evan Taylor — but also have defensive backs like Caleb Benning, Donovan Jones, Rex Guthrie and Braylen Prude, all of whom will likely cross-train to a degree.
