Nebraska welcomes elite offensive lineman Grant Brix

Logan-Magnolia (Iowa) four-star offensive lineman Grant Brix is visiting Nebraska this weekend, according to Rivals

The pitch wasn’t subtle. During the week, the Nebraska Cornhuskers parked a football team-branded semi-truck outside the high school of Logan-Magnolia (Iowa) four-star offensive lineman Grant Brix.

Now, he’s planning to visit. According to Rivals, the nation’s No. 57 overall prospect and 2 interior offensive lineman is set to visit Lincoln for the first time in months for Nebraska’s game against Purdue.

Brix holds more than 20 scholarship offers from some of the nation’s top programs, highlighted by Alabama, Auburn, Kansas State, Iowa, Miami, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Stanford, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Adding Brix to the fold would be massive for the program.

Nebraska has put together a borderline-top-25 class, bolstered by a clean sweep of the top six prospects in the home state.

If Matt Rhule is able to close on Brix – a tall order – he would become arguably the class headliner, and easily the top out-of-state pledge in the class.

From semi-truck to visit… to commitment?

That’s the unusual three-step program Nebraska is trying to work through with the elite offensive lineman.
