Come game day on Saturday, there will be some big in-game announcements during the All-American Bowl. It’s finally time for five prospects to pick from a couple of hats and announce their collegiate plans.
Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland four-star safety Zavier Mincey is ready to announce his commitment. The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder will select from four finalists including Alabama, Florida, Florida State and Miami. As it stands today, the Gators have one prediction in their favor on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. However, it wouldn’t shock us at all if Alabama becomes the team to beat come Saturday. Mincey is the No. 71 overall player in the country.
Meridian (Miss.) high school four-star running back Daniel Hill is just about set to make a college commitment. The schools under consideration for the 6-1, 231-pounder include Alabama, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Tennessee. As of Sunday, the 247Sports Crystal Ball splits between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs for the No. 128 overall player in the country, with the two most recent picks having Hill landing at Mississippi State. This would be a big win for new head coach Jeff Lebby.
Will it be USC, Georgia Tech or Missouri for Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek four-star safety Trajen Greco? The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder will announce his decision on Saturday during the game and, as of Sunday, Missouri is the favorite, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball. Landing the No. 217 overall player in the country would have Tigers head coach Eliah Drinkwitz thrilled.
Bountiful (Utah) High four-star safety Faletau Satuala is going to remain in-state for college, but will it be at Utah or BYU? The 247Sports Crystal Ball is in favor of the Cougars. The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder is a dynamic two-way player and one of these two programs is adding a big-time talent to its roster.
Chattanooga (Tenn.) McCallie School three-star cornerback Marcellus Barnes Jr. is going to go public with his decision later this week. The 6-foot 1/2, 170-pounder will select from three finalists including Syracuse, Georgia and Ole Miss. The one-time Virginia Tech commit opened up his process in November and the feeling at the time was that Georgia was going to be the beneficiary. However, ever since new Syracuse head coach Fran Brown offered in early December, the Orange have been the hot name in Barnes’ recruitment. If the 247Sports Crystal Ball is any indication, he’ll make an in-game decision in favor of Syracuse.
