News of another big commitment for Nebraska football dropped on Wednesday. Nebraska football’s roster continues to grow as St. Louis native announces commitment.

Cardinal Ritter College Prep running back Jamarion Parker announced a commitment to Nebraska on Wednesday afternoon.
Parker’s coach Brennan Spain told 247Sports that he sees it as a good situation because of the Nebraska coaching staff and the relationship that has been built between Matt Rhule, Marcus Satterfield and EJ Barthel and his running back.
«It’s a great fit because of the off the field love that has been shown and given to Jamarion,» Spain said. «There has been a lot of consistency, not just pertaining to football but things off the field and that’s where the relationship got stronger,» Spain said. «Coach EJ the running backs coach, Coach Rhule and the OC tackled it as a group and that’s what won him over.»
The Huskers had seemed like the favorites for Parker following an April practice visit when he immediately set up a return trip for June 21 for an official visit.
Parker is the ninth commitment in Nebraska’s class and the second four-star recruit, joining quarterback TJ Lateef, who popped for the Huskers in May. It’s also the second running back in the class, joining Bishop Neumann commitment Conor Booth.
Last year for Cardinal Ritter Prep the junior ran for 1,644 yards and 22 touchdowns, while also chipping in with 16 receptions for 267 yards and four touchdowns. Parker was hurt as a sophomore, but showed flashes of what was to come as a freshman in track with a 10.99 100-meter dash time.
Spain, told 247Sports that part of the allure of Parker is that he’s got a lot of tread left, unlike some running backs by the time they reach their senior year.
