There’s been some high highs and some low lows – but dating back to 1962, Memorial Stadium has been full on game days. The Huskers will mark a major milestone in the sellout streak on Friday as the #22 Huskers host the #24 Fighting Illini for the 400th consecutive sellout. It will also be the first time the Huskers have hosted a Top-25 matchup since UCLA visited Lincoln in 2013.
This will be the second consecutive year that Nebraska and Illinois have had a Friday night tilt. Nebraska bounced back in a big way last year, beating Illinois in Champaign 20 to 7.
This year, both teams come into the game ranked in the AP Top 25, with both sporting perfect 3-0 records through the non-conference slate.
Illinois’ marquee win this year was an upset of then #19 Kansas, 23-17. Illinois also topped Eastern Illinois 45-0 and Central Michigan 30-9.

The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff and it will be televised nationally on FOX. The Huskers – as of Monday morning – are favored by 8.5 points according to ESPN Bet. The O/U on the game is at 43.5 points.
