HUSKERS vs Rutgers: PRE-GAME VIBES
Welcome to Lincoln pre-game where temps feel like they’re going up about five degrees every 15 minutes. The winds are blowing about 20 mph out the south and it’s already been sarcastically suggested that might be strong enough to straighten out our field goal attempts.
Let’s get right to it and see who we are admitting is injured:
No surprises here as Alvano’s groin remains dinged up (actually, that doesn’t sound so bad. Ok, no, forget I said that. Inappropriate.) Corcoran’s injury has already been labelled significant, so he will likely be listed here for awhile.
Rutgers, on the other hand, has one player listed out and EIGHT listed questionable. It might be a little more honest though, because I can think of a few Huskers who are probably questionable as well.
What the hell? Let’s get all the way there – this game is incredibly important. The six inches in front of your face, y’all.
That’s it – embrace the heat. But be glad our boys are in the shade when the sun starts setting.
Random note – it is windy as hell down on the field. Anyone wearing loose t-shirts or pants? Those clothes are whipping around and it’s a steady thing. The ground game will be huge and the fact Rutgers is 12th in run offense and 98th in run defense certainly makes this interesting.
