Nebraska football coach talks leadership of John Bullock ahead of final push

As the Nebraska football team enters its final stretch, there are some players standing out. The final push to the team’s first bowl game since 2016 is going to require a lot of guys to step up. Most of them have been stepping up all year.

There’s been a ton of focus on guys like Dante Dowdell, Ceyair Wright, Ty Robinson and of course, Dylan Raiola. However, despite the fact that he’s had a pretty good season, there hasn’t been a ton of talk about John Bullock.

Appearing on the Huskers Radio Network on Wednesday, Bullock’s position coach, Rob Dvoracek talked about what the Nebraska football Blackshirt has meant to the squad as they try to get to a bowl game for the first time in eight years.

Nebraska football star praised for leadership

“Huge, huge for the room,” Dvoracek said.

“I mean, I think I talked about it previously. His confidence level is so much greater than it was a year ago. The experience he’s had, just understanding the whole defense as a whole and just the ability to play fast and be physical while he’s out there.

The communication from him, the rest of the guys in the room, you know, Shavers has played some this year, and he’s a young freshman.  So just having John out there to have that communication and leadership has been huge.”

The Nebraska football team is going to need Bullock, who has 41 tackles, 3 passes defended, 2 sacks and an interception return for a touchdown, to continue to be a leader. On and off the field.
