Former head coach Scott Frost is reportedly expected to come back to college football with a return to the University of Central Florida.
The Orlando Sentinel’s Matt Murschel reported Frost is expected to be back at UCF as head coach.
The last time he coached at the college level was in 2022 when he was fired partway through the Nebraska season. He went 16-31 while at Nebraska.
Mickey Joseph took over as interim head coach until Matt Rhule was hired to succeed Frost.
Since then, Frost has worked with the Los Angeles Rams as an analyst.
His last stint at UCF was in 2016-2017 when he had a 19-7 record during two seasons, including a win at the Peach Bowl over Auburn.
He is expected to replace Gus Malzahn who is going to Florida State to be the Seminoles’ offensive coordinator.
