Promising freshman defensive lineman Keona Davis announced Monday that he will enter the transfer portal.
Davis announced the decision on his social media accounts.

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Davis appeared in 11 games as a true freshman, recording nine tackles and 1.5 tackle for loss. He was seen as a potential building block piece in Nebraska’s future defensive linemen. Davis played 90 snaps for the Huskers in 2024 according to Pro Football Focus.
A former three-star recruit according to 247Sports, Davis was a long-time Washington commit before opening his recruitment when Kalen DeBoer went from Washington to Alabama. That gave Nebraska a chance to earn Davis’ commitment over a host of other programs, including UCLA, Michigan State and others.
As a high school senior, Davis recorded 60 tackles as a senior, including 18.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He added four pass breakups and an interception that he returned for 74 yards. Davis was an honorable-mention Class 6A all-state selection by the Arizona Republic and was a first-team all-conference selection in 2023.
Davis is the latest defensive lineman to announce his intention to enter the transfer portal, following Jimari Butler, James Williams, Vincent Jackson, Kai Wallin and Brodie Tagaloa.
