There are still plenty of talented receivers in the portal as the second week of the open winter transfer window continues.
The top players in the college football transfer portal are rapidly finding new homes as the winter window’s second week continues. Still, there’s plenty of talent on the board as six of the top-10 wide receivers to enter the portal this offseason are still available, including the entire top three — Eric Singleton Jr. (Georgia Tech), Zachariah Branch (USC) and Duce Robinson (USC).
Last year’s transfer portal cycle uncovered several diamonds in the rough from the Group of Five and FCS ranks, including Indiana leading receiver Elijah Sarratt (Tulane) and Rutgers leading receiver Dymere Miller (Monmouth). Idaho playmaker Jordan Dwyer and Florida International star receiver Eric Rivers aim for similar success stories after both exceeded 1,000 receiving yards during the regular season.
The transfer portal machine is still churning, so expect new names to join this list over the next week. The winter window for the college football transfer portal opened Dec. 9 and closes Dec. 28. The spring window is set for 10 days, opening April 16 and closing April 25.
Here are the top-10 wide receivers available in the transfer portal (as of noon ET Wednesday, Dec. 18):
10. Nyziah Hunter, California

Hunter entered the portal last week and quickly landed more than a dozen offers from major programs, including Arizona State, Kansas State, Nebraska, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Wisconsin and Syracuse. The former four-star recruit out of Salinas (Calif.) rated as the No. 40 wide receiver in the class of 2024 and has three years of eligibility remaining. He’s set to visit Nebraska and Kansas State this week. Sooners Illustrated reports Oklahoma is looking to enter the Hunter sweepstakes and land a visit in the near future.
9. Eric Rivers, Florida International

Rivers visited with Nebraska and Georgia Tech this week after making a trip to Miami last week. The 5-foot-11, 172-pound wideout started his career as a defensive back at Memphis before blossoming into one of the best vertical threats in the Group of Five the last two seasons in South Florida. He ranks No. 4 nationally in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He set career-highs with 11 receptions for 295 yards and three touchdowns against New Mexico State in Week 11.
8. Johntay Cook II, Texas

Cook and Texas parted ways in early November, and the former Longhorns wideout has finalized trips to Florida and Washington with a visit to Colorado still up in the air. Cook reportedly battled a toe injury this season and lost his spot in the rotation despite repeated praise from Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian. The 6-foot, 185-pound slot receiver was a track star at DeSoto (Texas) and is expected to be highly sought-after in the portal. He caught 16 passes for 273 yards and two touchdowns during his two years with the Longhorns.
7. Horatio Fields, Wake Forest

Fields named Auburn one of his two finalists after entering the transfer portal last week and visited the Tigers on Tuesday. He’s got a Crystal Ball pick for Duke. The 6-foot-3, 202-pound redshirt junior led the Demon Deacons in receiving touchdowns and ranked second on the team in receptions and receiving yards this fall. He recorded a season-high 84 yards on six catches and a touchdown in the regular-season finale against Duke.
6. Jordan Dwyer, Idaho

Dwyer entered the transfer portal on the heels of Idaho coach Jason Eck’s departure for New Mexico. Multiple Power Four programs have reached out to the FCS star, and he’s fresh off a visit to Lincoln Riley and USC. He put up big stats in 2024 despite playing with three different quarterbacks at Idaho. The 6-foot, 195-pound Washington native has spent time on the outside and in the slot and is a bonafide deep threat with an average depth of target of 17.1 yards in 2024.
5. KC CONCEPCION, NC STATE

Concepcion entered the transfer portal last week and has taken visits to Alabama and Texas A&M. The 5-foot-11, 187-pound sophomore was not as productive this year compared to his breakout true freshman season in 2023 when he caught 71 passes for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns, taking home ACC Rookie of the Year honors. But has the potential to slot in as a WR1 on a handful of 2025 College Football Playoff contenders. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
4. Dane Key, Kentucky

Key, a Lexington native, left Kentucky this offseason as the fifth-leading receiver in program history and quickly took trips to Ole Miss and Georgia. He’s the son of former Wildcats linebacker Donte Key and brother of Denver Broncos safety Devon Key and was one of the few bright spots on a lackluster Kentucky offense this fall. He helped lead the Wildcats to an upset win over then-No. 6 Ole Miss with eight catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
3. Duce Robinson, USC

Robinson rated as the No. 19 overall prospect and No. 1 tight end in the class of 2023 and is fielding a lot of interest in the portal after his sophomore season at USC. Robinson’s father, Dominic, is a former Florida State football player and they are expected to make a trip to Tallahassee this week. North Carolina and Texas A&M are two other programs in the mix for the 6-foot-6, 220-pounder from Phoenix, Ariz.
2. Zachariah Branch, USC

Branch entered the transfer portal on Tuesday alongside his brother, Zion Branch, a safety for the Trojans. Branch entered the portal with a «do not contact» tag, which typically means a player already has a destination in mind. The former five-star recruit rated as the No. 1 receiver in the class of 2023 and became the first true freshman first-team All-American in USC history after averaging 18.4 yards per kick return and 20.6 yards per punt return.

Singleton entering the portal last week served as a «sobering reminder of what non-blue bloods are up against» in the transfer portal. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound wideout was a major piece of the Yellow Jackets offense in 2024 and has already heard from all of the wide receiver-needy heavyweights in the transfer portal. Ole Miss and Miami have been pushing hard for Singleton, but Texas and Auburn reportedly impressed him during visits this week.
