Nebraska received a commitment from defensive lineman Gabe Moore, his agency Code Sports Group told Husker247.
He entered the portal this month after spending his first two years in the Mississippi State program.
While Moore hasn’t played a snap yet in college football, his size and four years of eligibility ahead offer a lot of potential. His high school resume was also strong, especially his finish to his career which made him one of the most intriguing prospects in the state of Mississippi.
During his senior year at Louisville High School in Mississippi, he stacked up 116 total tackles. He had 12 sacks and also forced five fumbles. He was also selected to the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game.
After redshirting in 2023 he didn’t play in 2024 when it was announced prior to the season by Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby he would be out for the year due to medical reasons.
According to our Mississippi State site, he spent the 2023 season building up his body behind the scenes. He also was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Moore is the fifth known transfer commitment so far in this cycle for Nebraska and third to the defensive line. Williams Nwaneri from Missouri and Jaylen George from East Tennessee State are already D-line signings that have been made official by the Huskers. Other signings made official are punter Jack McCallister from Washington and long snapper Kevin Gallic from New Hampshire.
Nwaneri was the No. 6 player overall in the 2024 recruiting class and George started 23 games over his final two seasons at ETSU, recording 54 tackles, 9 1/2 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
