Those calling for Travis Hunter to move on from from fiancee Leanna Lenee, who appears in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, can keep their opinions to themselves according to the Colorado two-star and Heisman winner. Hunter defended Lenee several times as she faces online criticism and has no interest in following the advice of others who are not part of his relationship.
«You ain’t never had no girl so why are y’all talking about me,» Hunter said during a livestream last week on Twitch. «Find someone else to talk about… Go talk about your girl. Go find a girl. Go find a life. Stop worrying about what I got going on. I know what I got. My girl been with me for five years. y’all are just now starting to talk about me… y’all go do something else with y’all life. Clickbait pages stop, y’all better stop I’m telling y’all.
«Something bad is gonna happen to y’all (if you) keep doing that. Y’all better stop that. I ain’t playing.»
Several high-profile athletes and celebrities commented on Hunter’s relationship, including Angel Reese, Bow Wow and former NFL wideout Nate Burleson.
«It’s everybody else’s business because that couple put it out there,» Burleson told TMZ Sports recently. «Can’t complain when people respond. That’s social media. You can’t say mind your own business or keep your opinion to yourself when you have shared with everybody.»
Earlier this year, Hunter announced his engagement to Lenne. The pair began dating during their senior year at Collins High School and continued throughout his time at Jackson State and Colorado.
Lenee responded to another viral video that surfaced a few weeks ago after the Buffaloes’ win over Oklahoma State showing the pair in a disagreement following the game. She later posted a photo of the two embracing on her Instagram account with the caption «you & me» to disrupt the negative commentary. Hunter, who scored three touchdowns against the Cowboys and recorded an interception, saved one of his best performances for his final game.
«These pics were taken 30 seconds after that clip by the way. Pls remember that social media is not real, and 5 seconds is not enough to understand a situation,» Lenee wrote, via Daily Mail. «You also never know what a person can handle mentally. Thank you baby for always trying to cheer me up. You truly are the greatest partner a girl could ever ask for.»
Lenee wore a black jacket with «HEISMAN» in gold letters on the back to Colorado’s finale.
After that interaction made the rounds on social media, Hunter defended his fiance’s actions, leaving a comment on a comedians’ TikTok video that mocked Lenee.
«You know her? No, so don’t speak on my relationship, you old ‘ash’; move on with your life,» Hunter wrote.
