A talented cornerback delivered a Christmas day present to Nebraska football. Former Idaho Vandal Andrew Marshall announced his commitment on Christmas day.
Marshall was a first-team all-Big Sky selection after recording 42 tackles and breaking up three passes. He was also a dynamic kick returner, with 14 punt returns for 150 yards and a touchdown. He also returned eight kickoffs for 327 yards and a touchdown.
Nebraska football will need corner depth, as Tommi Hill declared for the NFL draft earlier this month. Marshall gives the program a veteran player who can immediately play in the secondary. He also would give the program a dynamic returner.
Huskers have done a solid job of landing instant-impact players in the transfer portal so far, and Marshall would fit the bill on multiple levels. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
