Nebraska football continues to rearrange things in its wide receiver room. A day after a portal entry from sophomore wide receiver Jaylen Lloyd the team has added former Kentucky 247Sports Composite four-star Hardley Gilmore IV, per Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
The 6-foot-1, 178-pound receiver finished with six catches for 153 yards, recording a stat in five games across Kentucky’s season. The highlight for Gilmore was a two catch, 72-yard performance against Murray State where the receiver hauled in the opening score of the contest on a 52-yard play.
Gilmore played high school ball at Pahokee High School in Florida and reclassified, skipping his senior year, making him one of the youngest freshmen in the country.

«Young wide receiver with a projectable frame that displays plenty of suddeness as a route runner. Reclassified and skipped his senior year of high school. Didn’t play the stiffest competition down in the Sunshine State, but comes from a town that is known for its NFL stars. More of a build-up speed player with his long stride, but can really open up and get vertical.
Strong-handed and flashes impressive body control at the catch point. Likely is going to need a developmental year or two to find his footing given age, but has some tools to work with and a chance to emerge as a multi-year contributor at the Power Five level if he can keep progressing. Could always get a look on defense given what he put on tape as a safety.»
Gilmore is the third wide receive the Huskers have added this cycle, joining fellow Kentucky teammate Dane Key and Cal transfer and fellow freshman Nyziah Hunter. They’ll be coached in Lincoln by a receivers coach Key and Gilmore already know well, with Daikiel Shorts having been the leader of their position group at Kentucky.
It is addition No. 12 for the Huskers thus far in the portal.
