Quite a few of Nebraska’s defensive coaches are working together to canvass Miami and that’s how head coach Matt Rhule, defensive coordinator John Butler, outside linebackers coach Phil Simpson and defensive backs coach Addison Williams dropped in to see Dominic Turnbull, an intriguing defensive back from True North Classical Academy.
Turnbull is not yet ranked by 247Sports, but the defensive back does hold an impressive group of offers at this point in time. The defender holds verbal tenders from Colorado, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, USC and Wisconsin.
Turnbull has the coveted size of a cornerback at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds.
Nebraska has made a lot of offers at defensive back as the position group has undergone quite a bit of change in recent seasons with four different defensive backs coaches over the past three seasons and Williams stepping in for 2025.
The Huskers have one commitment from a 2026 defensive back in CJ Bronaugh, who just recently had a visit at his school from Matt Rhule and John Butler on Monday.
