Nebraska on Alert: Top 2026 Recruit CJ Bronaugh Could Change Teams

Nebraska, USA – The University of Nebraska football program is on alert after worrying signs have emerged about the future of its top recruit for the class of 2026, CJ Bronaugh. The young four-star cornerback, who committed to the Huskers in November, has drawn interest from several rival programs, putting his permanence at Nebraska at risk.

Bronaugh, a promising football player at 6’11» (1.85 meters) tall and with impressive speed (he runs the 100 meters in 10.3 seconds), has caught the attention of renowned coaches. Bill Belichick, known for his successful career in the NFL, has offered Bronaugh to join North Carolina. Oregon has also extended an offer to the talented player.

The situation is further complicated by the news that Bronaugh has scheduled visits to several universities, including North Carolina, Clemson, Florida State, Florida, and Syracuse. The visit to Clemson is of particular concern, as the program rarely hosts players who are already committed to other schools.

Given this situation, Nebraska coach Matt Rhule and his team have significant work ahead of them to keep Bronaugh committed to the Huskers. The university plans to host the young player for an official visit in June, hoping to reaffirm his commitment and convince him that Nebraska is the right place for his development as a football player.
