General manager Pat Stewart’s salary details released

Salary details have been announced for Nebraska football’s new general manager. Pat Stewart will make $800,000 in his new role with the Cornhuskers.

Stewart comes to Nebraska after working as the director of pro personnel for the New England Patriots. He previously worked in the scouting department for the Carolina Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles. He also worked with Matt Rhule at Western Carolina and Temple.

Stewart will lead the Huskers’ roster management and player acquisition, including high school and transfer portal recruiting, evaluation and retention. In a statement, head coach Matt Rhule believes that college football is moving into an era that resembles the National Football League model.

Former Nebraska general manager Sean Padden will move to a new role within the program. Padden will now hold the title of assistant AD for Strategic Initiatives and will be involved in the salary cap, contract negotiations, and analytics.
