90 Day Fiance star Michael Eloshway will not be allowed to see his daughter without permission after his release from prison. He has to register as a sex offender after serving a 10-year sentence for possessing child pornography. In addition to the prison time, Michael must take random polygraph tests and complete a treatment program.
In July 2024, Michael was found guilty of two felony counts related to the pornography charges. He was sentenced in October to ten years in prison followed by ten years of probation.
The court ordered him to pay $10,000 in fines and $5,000 to two victims whose videos were found on his laptop. Prosecutors had requested a 20-year sentence, describing the content Michael had as «sadistic. » Michael argued that he accidentally downloaded these videos while searching for other content.
The judgment indicates that Michael checked into prison in January and will serve his time at a facility in Ohio near his family. The court requires him to undergo a mental health evaluation and participate in treatment after his release. His probation officer will oversee his participation in the program.
Michael will also be subject to strict rules following his release. He cannot have any contact with minors, including his own child, without getting permission from his probation officer. Any contact he has with minors must be reported within 24 hours. The judge specified that direct contact includes any written, in-person, or physical communication.
Furthermore, Michael will have to submit to regular polygraph tests to ensure compliance with his treatment and supervision requirements. He cannot use any computer or the internet without prior approval, and his probation officer can conduct random searches of his devices.
Michael is prohibited from possessing any se&ually explicit materials and cannot live within 1,000 feet of schools or daycare centers. His mother and wife have written letters to the court supporting him. Michael has filed an appeal against his sentence.
