Terelu Campos has publicly expressed her regret over not being able to fulfill the grandmother role she desires in the life of her grandson Carlo, the son of Alejandra Rubio and Carlo Costanzia, who was born almost eight months ago. The former ‘Supervivientes’ contestant acknowledges that her intense work schedule has prevented her from being more present during the baby’s first months.
In a recent interview with ‘Lecturas’ magazine, Terelu openly discussed her situation. «I’ve been a more absent grandmother than I would have liked,» she admitted. The primary reason, she stated, is the whirlwind of her professional career this year. «I’m a grandmother in development; he’s still very young, and 2025 has been a dizzying year; I haven’t stopped working,» she explained.
Reacting to Comparisons with Carmen Borrego
These statements come shortly after her sister, Carmen Borrego, commented on ‘Vamos a ver,’ hinting at a difference in how they both exercise their roles as grandmothers. «I think we act differently, because I’m more about picking him up from school, taking him home to sleep, and she might be more about short visits,» Carmen had said.
In response, Terelu Campos was firm in dismissing any competition between them. «Comparing grandmothers is not among my concerns. I don’t give a damn, as Mila would say from my heart. I find it stupid, silly. I never establish competitiveness in affections,» she asserted, making her stance clear on any attempt to compare them in such a personal area.
Despite her initial «absence» in Carlo’s life, Terelu Campos has made it clear that she fully intends to change this in the future.
