Veronica Rodriguez from 90 Day Fiance: The Single Life gets her jaw wired shut after an accident. A physical challenge ended her up in the emergency room, and unable to open her mouth.
Veronica Rodriguez recently opened up about an accident that made her have to get her jaw wired shut. She was visiting her family in Miami, Florida. She had a great day with her family. They went out to celebrate her birthday and had an early birthday dinner with cake.
But the good times ended there. The 90 Day Fiance reality star explains that her brother wanted to do a pushup challenge. She knew that she could do pushups. However, she saw her stepmother’s AB wheel under the sofa and thought that would help her do more pushups.
Veronica pulls it out. However, she explains that this AB wheel has an auto recoil feature. So, when you pull it back, it moves forward on its own. She says that it helps you get back up. Yet, when she used it, she had it backward.
So, when the TLC star pulled it back, it took off on her, and she slammed her face into a marble floor on a slab foundation. She also didn’t win the challenge.

Veronica explains that her chin was the first injury she saw. She had “ripped open” her chin. But she knew there was more to the injury than a bloody chin
The 90 Day Fiance cast member’s sister is a nurse, and her brother is in school in the medical field. So, she was in good hands. Her siblings ran to help her and told her she needed to get stitches.
Veronica’s father had to drive her to the emergency room to get stitches. She felt bad because her father didn’t have to drive her to the hospital throughout her childhood. But, at 37, he had to take her to get stitches in her chin.
90 Day Fiance Celeb Gets Stitches, Screws and Wires
Veronica Rodriguez kept telling the ER doctors that her face was hurting her. So, they did a CT scan to check for any other injuries to her face. She then found out that there were three fractures—one on each side of her cheeks and another one on her chin.
The 90 Day Fiance castmate had to get her jaw wired shut to help heal. However, she had another option. She could get surgery. They would have had to cut her face to put plates and screws in her cheekbones. Yet, there were more risks of complications with that option. But, the healing process would have been shorter.
Veronica went with getting her jaw wired instead. So, now she has four screws on the top and bottom of her mouth with four wires connecting them. The healing process could take six to eight weeks. But she is hoping for the best and a speedy recovery.
