Did Sheila Move To The U.S. To Be With David?

Sheila Mangubat’s current location reveals where her relationship stands with David Dangerfield after 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 6.

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star David Dangerfield wanted Sheila Mangubat to move to America after they got engaged. The 31-year-old from Cebu, Philippines met the 42-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska on a Facebook group for single deaf people. David and Sheila were in an online relationship for two years before they signed up for 90 Day Fiancé. Then onward, fans watched David and Sheila meeting face-to-face for the first time and dealing with their communication problems since Sheila doesn’t speak American Sign Language.

David went ring shopping for Sheila in the newest episode after revealing he wants to be a good father to Sheila’s son Jhonreil from a previous relationship. David became more comfortable with Jhonreil after they had a beach outing with Sheila and interpreter Aimee. However, Jhonreil also revealed that he didn’t want to move to the U.S. He’s scared because it’s a big change, but Sheila wishes for Jhonreil to change his mind. After all, Sheila might not be able to move to America herself if her son doesn’t agree.

During her introduction, Sheila admitted, “My son and I we don’t have a lot, but we do the best we can with what we have.” At the house, Sheila didn’t have running water. She needed to fill buckets using a hand pump and carry them to the house. “My house is difficult to live because it’s very small, and also there’s a lot of damage,” she said. The house was affected by a typhoon and a fire in which Sheila lost most of her belongings. “Now the roof are gone,” she added, before mentioning they also had limited electricity. When David came to see her parents, he realized Sheila was living amidst lanes that were stinking of sewage and urine.

Sheila has a smaller Instagram presence so far, as compared to most of her co-stars from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. But Sheila is also fairly active and often interacts with her followers. Recently, Sheila told a fan she’s not pregnant. She has been posting videos that reveal she’s still in the Philippines. Sheila has been spending time with her friends who are her neighbors, singing karaoke. However, none of Sheila’s new updates feature her home from the show.

It appears Sheila may have either spent the $100,000 Philippine pesos ($1,725.15 in U.S. currency) to renovate the house, or has moved into a new place. After all, Sheila has revealed she’s working and earning her own money since filming 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. In July, Sheila told her fans that she was suffering from vertigo. “I’m still here in my own small shop to get back the investment. Need to work,” said Sheila, who wanted to work even if she felt sick. Sheila owns a sari-sari store meaning “variety” or “sundry” store, which is a neighborhood convenience store found in the Philippines.
