Shekinah Garner made her move to Turkey from Los Angeles to be with Sarper Guven on latest episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. Fans are not that surprised that red flags are starting to appear in their relationship given that he claims to have slept with 2,500 women.
Shekinah Garner admits she doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to her exes. Still, she insists Sarper is the One. Their reunion starts out like a “love scene in a movie” according to Sarper. However, it quickly goes downhill the first night when Shekinah sees the state of his worn out 12-year-old bed.
Having worked as an exotic dancer at over 600 bachelorette parties, Sarper was comfortable with casual relationships. The 90 Day Fiance star says when he met Shekinah and knew he wanted commitment in life.
Sarper hadn’t been loyal to anyone in 43 years but was faithful for 79 days for Shekinah. It was the longest he had ever been faithful to a woman.
While picking up his girlfriend, he explains how he is taking yet another new step. “I never take a flower to a girl, waited in the airport and waiting for her to come out or something like that. Everything is so special for me,” he tells cameras.
Upon seeing Sarper, Shekinah immediately jumps into his arms and kisses him. She repeatedly tells him how handsome he is. “It feels so good being in his big strong arms, have his arms around me,” she says. “I feel like this is where I belong. You look so good, babe.” This is followed by Shekinah kissing him many more times and telling him he is handsome on repeat.
The Other Way: Shekinah Demands Sarper Ditch His Gross Bed
Once arriving to Sarper’s apartment in Turkey, Shekinah realizes that she initially overlooked his cleanliness in her previous visits. The problems only escalate for the 90 Day Fiance couple when she goes in his room and discovers he still has the same bed that is falling apart and decrepit. “That is still your old bed,” Shekinah complains, eyeing it with contempt.
She scolds him and says, “Before I came here, I said please get a new bed, because I don’t want to sleep in a bed that other women have slept in.” Sarper eventually responds with “Okay, I admit. It’s old. It’s 12-years-old and used a lot,” he sheepishly confesses during a confessional.
Shekinah explains in her own confessional how it felt to learn about Sarper’s shocking history with so many women. “About a month before I moved to Turkey, Sarper told me that he had been with about 2,500 women, and I thought it was a typo,” She admits. “I’d never even heard of anyone being with half that many people. I just really hate the mental image of wondering what caused the headboard to look the way that it does.”
In a final confessional moment, Shekinah notes: “Clearly he doesn’t take it seriously when I tell him to do something, so he’s gonna find out now. And if he wants to sleep in his gross bed, he can do that. Or he can join me on the couch. I don’t care.”
She continues, “But all I know is I’m not sleeping in that bed, and we have to get a new one as soon as possible.” Sarper does end up joining her on the couch. Is this a sign that he is going to be changing his ways and living the life of a domesticated partner.
90 Day Fiance: Red Flags keep Adding Up for Sarper Guven and Shekinah
Sarper has shown various red flags since appearing on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. He has made controversial social media content, tried controlling Shekinah, and demanded that she be a certain size. He also admitted to sleeping with multiple females after their first date.
Her family thinks that Sarper is a playboy and not a good choice. He reminds her that she’s the “only one” he wants to be with from among the “2,500” women he has slept with. Shekinah responds, “That does not make me feel special, that makes me feel sick.”
Friends and family have watched Shekinah look out for red flags, but Sarper has started to look like a “giant red flag.” Shekinah thinks the “sign could not be any clear[er]” Shekinah has dated “manipulative” and “insecure” people who made her feel self doubt by tearing her down.
She believed Sarper was different from her exes because she was finally dealing with “the right person” for her. However, in a preview for episode 11, Sarper and Shekinah are on a boat, arguing.
