Brossard, Quebec — Forward Cole Caufield has been named the Molson Cup recipient for November, after leading the Montreal Canadiens in goals, assists, and points during the month.
Caufield was selected as the first star of the game three times — November 1 against Ottawa, November 8 against Utah, and November 28 against Vegas. Across 13 games, the left winger tallied five goals (tied with Nick Suzuki), eight assists (tied with Mike Matheson), and a total of 13 points.
The Mosinee, Wisconsin native also marked a milestone, appearing in his 300th career NHL game on November 4 against Philadelphia.
Currently riding a seven-game point streak, Caufield has added two goals and six assists, reinforcing his role as a key offensive driver.
The Molson Cup ceremony honoring Caufield will take place ahead of Tuesday’s clash against the Ottawa Senators at the Bell Centre.
Yet, beyond the accolades, the recognition has stirred debate: while Caufield’s numbers shine, critics argue the Canadiens’ broader struggles raise the question of whether individual honors mask deeper inconsistencies in team performance.
