ESPN’s analysis now places the Huskers at number 12 in the FPI, a significant jump from their initial ranking in the lower 30s. This climb has directly impacted the team’s projections: their expected win total has risen from 7.4 to 9.2, with a 99.8% chance of qualifying for a postseason bowl game.
Additionally, the Huskers’ odds of making the college football playoffs skyrocketed from 7.2% to 27.6%.
