The world famous Savannah Bananas will play in Lincoln in Summer 2026.
The world-famous Savannah Bananas are officially coming to Lincoln as part of their 2026 World Tour, announced live Thursday evening on ESPN2. The team will play two games in the city: June 11 at Haymarket Park and June 13 at Memorial Stadium.
Known for their wildly entertaining brand of baseball called “Banana Ball,” the Bananas have become a national sensation. Their games feature unique rules—such as fan-caught foul balls counting as outs and mandatory ball touches by all defenders after a walk—alongside choreographed dances, trick plays, and theatrical walkups. Each game is capped at two hours, ensuring a fast-paced, high-energy experience.
The 2025 tour saw the Bananas sell out Major League Baseball stadiums across the country and pack football venues in Nashville, Tampa Bay, Charlotte, and Clemson University. Their April appearance at Clemson’s Memorial Stadium drew a record-breaking crowd of 81,000 fans.
Former Nebraska pitcher Kyle Perry, who appeared in 29 games for the Bananas this season, had been vocal about bringing the team to Memorial Stadium. Nebraska Athletics Director Troy Dannen confirmed he met with Bananas ownership in February to secure the date.
“It’s the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball,” Dannen said in January. “It’s a fun show if you haven’t seen it before. We hope to get something lined up for ’26 with them and get that working here shortly.”
The 2026 Banana Ball Ticket Lottery List opens October 9 at 7:30 p.m. CT and remains open until October 31.
