LINCOLN, NE. — The Nebraska football program continues its aggressive push for top-tier national talent, securing a crucial fifth visit from Corey Hadley Jr., the No. 7 ranked safety prospect in the 2027 recruiting class. Hadley’s repeated trips to Lincoln underscore the Huskers’ strategic commitment to rebuilding the program into a perennial national contender under the current coaching staff.
Why It Matters
Nebraska’s ability to keep a high-profile recruit like Hadley engaged is a significant win, especially as they battle SEC powerhouses like Georgia Tech and Mississippi State. Landing a commitment from Hadley could serve as the spark the Huskers need for their 2027 class, which currently sits at No. 10 nationally but has faced pressure from rival programs in recent months.
The Recruitment Strategy
Hadley has already made four unofficial visits to Nebraska, signaling a deep-rooted interest in the «Husker Way.» The coaching staff is reportedly selling a long-term vision of the program rather than just a roster spot. Furthermore, Nebraska’s current safety depth chart offers a clear path to early playing time—a compelling pitch for a 4-star recruit looking to make an immediate impact on the field.
Key Date: Hadley is officially scheduled to return to campus on June 5th, 2026.
The Key Players
- Corey Hadley Jr.: A standout 4-star prospect and the centerpiece of this recruiting battle.
- Tory Pittman III: The lone safety currently committed to Nebraska’s 2027 class; a Hadley commitment would create a formidable duo in the secondary.
- Addison Williams: Nebraska’s Defensive Backs coach, who has been the primary architect of Hadley’s recruitment.
- Tyler Yelk: The Huskers’ new Safeties coach, whose fresh perspective is expected to help seal the deal.
What’s Next
Between now and the June visit, Nebraska’s staff will maintain high-frequency contact with Hadley. Coaches Williams and Yelk are expected to be fixtures in Hadley’s recruitment process as the Huskers aim to solidify their top-10 national ranking and secure one of the most versatile defenders in the country.
