«I Have Regrets»: Dylan Raiola Breaks His Silence on Nebraska Exit as Husker Coaches Fire Back!

LINCOLN, NE / EUGENE, OR — The silence has finally been broken. After a quiet and controversial exit through the transfer portal that left Husker Nation feeling ghosted, former starting quarterback Dylan Raiola has officially addressed the fans he left behind.

As his national PR tour hits full swing following his move to Oregon, Raiola is finally saying the words Nebraska fans have been waiting months to hear.

The Apology and the Regrets

Unlike other players who left Lincoln this offseason, Raiola departed without a word to the fans who cheered him on for two seasons. On Tuesday, however, he changed his tune.

«I’m very grateful for the time I had in Nebraska,» Raiola admitted. «I’m grateful for the coaches, the people, and the fans… there’s a lot of things I could have done better to propel our team to win.»

Raiola acknowledged that his time in Lincoln was a learning experience, admitting that he didn’t always meet the expectations required to lead the team to victory. He now says he plans to use those «regrets» to become a better teammate for the Ducks.

Husker Coaches Respond: «A Better Fit»

While Raiola is looking for closure, the Nebraska coaching staff seems ready to turn the page entirely. Coaches haven’t been shy about praising new QB Anthony Colandrea, pointedly mentioning that he might be a «better fit» for Dana Holgorsen’s high-powered offense than Raiola ever was.

With a tougher schedule looming this fall, the pressure is on Colandrea to prove the coaches right, while Raiola looks to reinvent himself in Oregon.
