Three-star wide receiver Kaden Howard officially announced his decommitment from Nebraska via social media, simultaneously executing a flip to Georgia Tech. The dynamic playmaker had initially given his verbal pledge to head coach Matt Rhule and the Huskers back on March 20, shortly after an unofficial visit.
However, Howard openly maintained that he would keep his recruitment options active, a strategy that ultimately culminated in a weekend visit to Atlanta and a subsequent pledge change to the Yellow Jackets.
According to the Rivals Industry Rankings, the 5-foot-11, 160-pound receiver out of Miami Palmetto High School is currently evaluated as the No. 147 overall player at the wide receiver position and the No. 134 overall prospect in the talent-rich state of Florida. Known as an absolute speedster on the track with a blistering 10.37-second 100-meter dash, Howard’s on-field athletic profile remains highly coveted. During his junior campaign on the gridiron, he put his explosive separation skills on full display, hauling in 25 receptions for 510 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging an exceptional 20.4 yards per catch.

Despite losing Howard’s track-level speed from the verbal commitment list, Nebraska’s long-term recruiting foundation under Matt Rhule continues to boast tremendous national momentum.
