Husker DB Commit Jailen Hill Switching Coasts for Final High School Season

MIAMI, Fla. — Nebraska defensive back commit Jailen Hill is making a major move for his final year of high school football. The talented cornerback announced on Friday that he will be switching coasts, moving from Southern California to join the roster at Carol City High School in Miami, Florida, for his senior season.

The relocation marks a significant shift for the future Husker, placing him in one of the nation’s most competitive high school football hotbeds while adding even more firepower to an already loaded Carol City lineup.

A Proven Playmaker Moving to the Sunshine State

Hill moves to Florida following a stellar junior campaign at powerhouse St. John Bosco in California, where he showcased his elite ball-hawk instincts by snatching six interceptions and recording three pass breakups.

Before his time at St. John Bosco, Hill spent two productive seasons at Inglewood High School (Calif.). As a sophomore, he posted 57 tackles and three interceptions in 11 games, following an eye-opening freshman year where he logged 60 tackles, 18 pass breakups, and an interception.

Currently rated as a three-star prospect with an 88 overall rating by 247Sports, Hill has consistently proven to be one of the most reliable secondary defenders in his class.

Locked In with Nebraska

Hill officially pledged his commitment to Nebraska on June 16, choosing the Big Ten program over an impressive list of top national offers. His decision came shortly after making two separate trips to Lincoln during the summer.

He first visited on June 12 for his official visit, returning just a week later decked out in Nebraska gear to compete in the Battle of the Boneyard 7-on-7 tournament. Hill delivered a standout performance during the event with Team TOA, solidifying his status as a cornerstone defensive back for Matt Rhule’s recruiting class.

Now, as he gears up to test his skills against Florida’s elite talent, Nebraska fans will be watching closely to see how the future Husker DB finishes his high school career on the East Coast.
