The Nebraska Cornhuskers have added a valuable asset to their 2026 recruiting class. Hamilton (Ariz.) offensive lineman Rex Waterman announced his commitment on Tuesday afternoon, choosing the Huskers over other notable offers, including UCLA.
Waterman, who stands 6-foot-5 (approximately 1.96 meters) and weighs 295 pounds (approximately 133.8 kilograms), made an official visit to Nebraska last weekend.
His commitment marks the fifth overall for the Huskers in the 2026 class and, crucially, becomes the first offensive line commit to join this promising group.
The talented Arizona athlete held offers from prestigious programs such as UCLA, Arizona State, and Kansas State, among others. While Waterman plays left tackle in high school, he is likely to transition to an interior offensive line position with the Huskers at the collegiate level.
