CHARLOTTE — The 90 Day Fiancé community is in mourning, but the sudden nature of the tragedy has sparked intense conversation among fans. Veronica Rodriguez, a staple of the TLC franchise, took to social media this weekend to share the devastating news that her dog, Artemis, has passed away at just 8 years old.
The announcement has sent shockwaves through the fandom, not only because of the loss but because of how rapidly the situation escalated. According to Veronica, what seemed like a normal week turned into a nightmare overnight.
A silent killer: The diagnosis that changed everything In an emotional post, Veronica revealed that doctors discovered a «very aggressive cancer» on Artemis’s spleen. The deterioration was almost instantaneous, leaving the family with no time to process the diagnosis before having to say their final goodbyes on Friday.
«It is with a very heavy heart that I have to share the heartbreaking news,» Veronica wrote, describing Artemis as «the goodest boy ever.» The reality star expressed her hope that he is now in «doggie heaven,» enjoying all the belly rubs and swimming he could ever want.
Fans react: «Only 8 years old?» The news has ignited a wave of both sympathy and debate on social media. While thousands of fans and co-stars like Tim Malcolm have offered their condolences, some followers have pointed out the shocking age of the pet, questioning how such an aggressive ailment could go unnoticed until it was too late.
